How about everyone tell us what your username means and why you chose it!

I picked Romans-1:16 because I love proclaiming the gospel to everyone and I am not ashamed. In Romans 1:16 it says

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,

So go ahead let us know what yours means!

We all must be a light for future Generations, and we get that light from Jesus Christ, the living son of God eternal. On Christ the SOLID rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.

RE: What does your username mean, and why did you pick it?
Hey guys and gals! Paul(aka Holbytla) here. I'm on board now with the YTTM train. CHOO CHOO!

My username: Holbytla

Meaning/origins: The Lord of the Rings books. God pulls a lot of good stuff out of LOTR that he blesses me with!
"Holbytla" basically means "hobbit" in the language of Rohan. When some of the hobbits meet the Riders of Rohan, they find that their languages are very similar. I also have a great interest and passion for language/s.\, by the way (as did the author, Tolkien. In fact, these worlds were created by him just so he could enjoy making up his own language/s, especially Elvish, and giving them a history. Amazing guy!).
I chose this username/nickname because I really relate to the hobbits in the book/s. They are small; my name("Paul") means "small" or "dependant on God". They are not very wise or strong, or seen as very important compared to the rest of Middleearth's creatures. They have lived sheltered, simple, peaceful lives(because of Gandalf, the Dunedain Rangers, and others who have worked hard at secretly protecting the Shire homeland, never needing or asking for recognition or thanks from these hobbits) until the Ring and Sauron start to stir again in Bilbo's time.
But in spite of all their great stupidity, the powers of Good in the world choose to use these foolish, spoiled and simple creatures to accomplish great things in the grand scheme of things and also grow their potential and character so that they become among the highest-honored creatures in this mythical universe, like Aragorn, Gandalf, and Galadriel! I relate to this a lot as it applies to us humans(hobbits) and Jesus/God! I am very much like a hobbit, I think!

P.S.- Feel free to message me about anything! I'd love to talk LOTR stuff or anything else you like. Blessings on you all! Smile
